Accepted to UCLA...but first pray for stability

I was going to write a post about how this was our last night in Tijuana and some of the funny things we’ve experienced here. I wanted to update everyone on a major answer to prayer... Josh’s case has been accepted at UCLA We’ve been waiting and praying and finally we’re leaving tomorrow morning for LA.

Before I was able to write about all of this, Josh had a seizure. The experience is still very fresh and raw in my mind and it was a lot for all of us. He’s been experiencing more and more symptoms of brain inflammation/swelling/tumours and today he was in a lot of pain and very tired. It’s been so hard for us to wait for the appropriate protocol and approval of the next stage of treatment, but that’s how things work so we’ve been waiting and praying.

Josh is stable and he’s sleeping at the hospital tonight so he can be monitored and given the proper medication and pain relief.

Our plan is to leave tomorrow so we can move forward as soon as possible. Please pray for a smooth trip across the border with no hiccups. Pray Josh is stable and strong enough to travel and that there will be no more seizures on the way.

I know you all keep us in your thoughts and prayers already can’t say thank you enough.
